Allie Greene: Owner

Allie Greene is a Registered Somatic Movement Educator and Therapist (RSME/T) with ISMETA, a 500-hour RYT certified teacher in EmbodiYoga & Somatics, and an MSW candidate at Carlow University, graduating in August 2025. She is currently a MSW Clinical intern at My Wellness Center in Allison Park, PA.

Allie’s movement journey began in the world of dance, performing professionally in Cleveland and Pittsburgh. She holds a BA in Sociology and Performing Arts and has worked as an outreach artist in Pittsburgh Public Schools, support staff for children with autism, and facilitator for underserved youth in diverse educational and community settings.

As a somatic movement educator and therapist, Allie explores how the nervous system, body, and brain shape our lived experiences. Her approach blends creativity, body wisdom, and practical tools to support meaningful movement and self-awareness. She is passionate about accessible, inclusive, and trauma-informed care, and sees healing as a return to connection, curiosity, rest, and joy—with space for each person to move at their own pace.

Her mission is to share movement as a means of building confidence, better health, and a sense of wholeness. Her teaching style invites self-compassion, curiosity, and empowerment so that a movement practice, no matter what kind, is an act of care towards oneself.

TESTIMONIALS

“Allie’s work at Equilibrium is so changing! Her approach is unique and informed, and I have had more success with her than I have with anyone else I have ever worked with. Her approach is so much more than just a bio-mechanical approach to movement, and she is incredibly talented as well as humble and compassionate. My session with Allie is what I look forward to most each week!”

- Aislinn (Physical Therapist)

“Allie’s holistic approach is unique and incredibly effective. As an active 60+ woman who likes to walk, hike, and bike, I’ve tried to address many injuries over the years through physical therapy. Allie has helped me become more aware of my body (and its quirks!), and she has given me the ability to set more ambitious goals for myself. Inspired by principles of yoga, and drawing from her experience as a dancer, Pilates teacher, and somatic educator, Allie creates lessons that are dynamic, fun, and empowering. Thank you, Allie, for your gift of teaching movement so thoughtfully and effectively.”

“When Allie asks how we're doing at the beginning of her Soma Flow class, I always say...'I'll be better in an hour!' This class is a beautiful balance of fresh, creative, and fun movements that leave me feeling rejuvenated and energized from head to toe every time. I’ve been coming to class since 2013!"

“After giving birth to my son, I struggled with ongoing lower back pain. In 2015, I attended a workshop with Allie and immediately connected with what she shared about pain, movement, and the mind-body connection. I knew that night I wanted to work with her. After trying other studios where I never quite felt comfortable, I reached out—and starting private sessions with Allie was the best decision I’ve ever made.

Allie is incredibly supportive, patient, and intuitive. She always encourages me to listen to my body, respects my limits, and guides me with care and precision. Over time, we’ve built a deep trust—she knows when to challenge me, when to simplify, and when to help me feel safe in my body.

I’m stronger now, more confident, and I no longer fear pain the way I used to. Allie has taught me how breath, grounding, and movement can transform how I feel—physically and emotionally.”

Feedback from Allie’s workshops on Fusion Pilates EDU & Pilates Anytime

“I really liked what you said: there are interesting things in small things. That can be very reassuring for folk who can’t move big but also a reminder to be respectful to the whole movement and fully embrace it, no matter the limitations.”

“Really loved your classes, Allie! Very inspiring for exploring and discovering our ways of moving and what moves us - the spaces in, out, and around us. Could literally spend hours in this self-discovery movement journey.”

“These classes make me inspired to playfully, curiously look into my movement preferences and also risk other choices and places rarely visited in my body.”
